The Steeler Nation has the largest female following of all NFL teams, yet Steelers blogs for the ladies are few and far between. Steeler Magnolias is a space where the ladies of Steel can come together and all things football - both on and off the field. This blog will provide you with everything you need to know about the game - from player stats to pierogie recipes, Tomlin's tips to tailgate treats.
The blog is called Steeler Magnolias, because like all good Pittsburghers, I love everything 80s - and Steel Magnolias is one of the classic chic-flicks of the decade. Like the ladies in the film, Steeler fans are tough and resilient yet irresistibly feminine. And, aside from the obvious play on words, I decided on the name Steeler Magnolias because I reside a bit south of Pittsburgh in Northern Virginia. But don't worry, I'm a Pittsburgher at heart and would never, ever consider changing my allegiance. And if the Steelers aren't on national television, you'll find me glued to the TV at either at The Tortoise and the Hare or Carpool.
